Photographing Tamara and Elaine at the lush Vidanta resort in the Riviera Maya was an absolute pleasure.
The couple struck the perfect balance between being stylish, fun-loving and so sincerely in love. Unlike many Mexico destination weddings, Tamara and Elaine’s big day was not super small — they had about 60 guests make the trip down south to celebrate them.
But before they started celebrating with all their friends and family, I got to capture more intimate moments during the “getting ready” session.
Wearing robes and smiles, Tamara and Elaine stole kisses from each other while they prepped for the ceremony.
A little bit of bling went a long way in making Tamara feel fabulous on her special day! Her glamorous style suited her perfectly — and totally “wow”ed Elaine.
Tamara decided to splurge by flying down her favorite hairdresser to do her hair and makeup for her. The result? Simply stunning beauty — though Tamara was a little late to the ceremony. Brides, make sure you plan plenty of time to perfect your hairdos during your “getting ready” hour!
Elaine’s wardrobe was stunning as well:
Looking chic in all white, Elaine added some extra special touches to her wedding-day look, including a plush bowtie and monogrammed sleeves.
Her whole wedding day look came together when Tamara slipped on her intricate, beaded gown. She would be a vision as she walked down the aisle — and that moment was fast approaching!
Photographing the “getting ready” hour is one of my favorite parts of working a wedding; it’s a time when the well of emotions — nervous anticipation, love for friends’ support, and unabashed excitement — so clearly shine through. You can see that in Tamara and Elaine’s intimate moments shared together here.
While Tamara and Elaine’s beautiful ceremony wasn’t as intimate, it was just as emotional — see the heart-warming photographs here.
